Softball Recap: Latin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodlands Academy on Monday, Latin came back down to earth. The Romans lost 11-2 to the Regina Dominican Panthers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Romans in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Latin's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Regina Dominican, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Latin will square off against Willows Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.5 runs per game on average), something the Romans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Regina Dominican, they will face off against Richmond-Burton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
