Basketball Game Preview: Belleview Christian Bruins vs. Clear Creek Golddiggers

The Belleview Christian Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Belleview Christian and eight for Clear Creek dating back to last season.

Belleview Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Flatirons Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Belleview Christian had to suffer through a 47-17 loss at the hands of Flatirons Academy. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Bison are ranked 144th).

Despite their defeat, Belleview Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tara Polson, who posted eight points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most points Polson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Wisper Nedelea, who put up three points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by Union Colony Prep 60-20.

Belleview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
