            Baseball Recap: Mobile Christian Leopards vs. McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets        
        
		
        
        
            Mobile Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the  17-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March of 2024.
 Maddox McKinion was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in February.
 At the plate,  Noah Blackburn was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.  Brady Keller also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Mobile Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for McGill-Toolen, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.
 Coincidentally, Mobile Christian and McGill-Toolen will both be playing Foley the next time they take the field. Mobile Christian will head out to face Foley at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday, while McGill-Toolen will play them later in the day, at 3:00  p.m.
