Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln High Links vs. Columbus Discoverers

The Lincoln High Links will venture away from home to face off against the Columbus Discoverers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln High knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Columbus likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Lincoln High beat Omaha South 67-55.

Meanwhile, Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Millard North, falling 84-31. The Discoverers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 69-27.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lincoln High, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Lincoln High couldn't quite finish off Columbus when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 66-63. Can Lincoln High avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
