Baseball Recap: Rusk Comes Up Short

Rusk lost against Central Heights back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rusk Eagles fell 5-1 to the Central Heights Blue Devils.

Rusk saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tim Hill, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Trent Byars also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Rusk's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Central Heights, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Rusk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Diboll on the 8th. As for Central Heights, they have also already played their next match, a 17-14 win against Harleton on the 8th.
