Basketball Recap: North White Takes a Loss

North White lost against Carroll back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North White Vikings were outmatched by the Carroll Cougars and fell 60-24. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Cougars are ranked 173rd).

Chris Annis was North White's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Fernando Gomez held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Ephraim Denton took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

This is the second loss in a row for North White and nudges their season record down to 2-14. As for Carroll, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

North White will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Caston at 7:30 p.m. Caston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. Carroll has already played their next contest, a 52-50 loss against Northwestern on the 1st.
