Game recap: Poquoson High School Football Team beats Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, Va. - Even though Smithfield (Va.) fought hard, Poquoson (Va.) pulled off the 35-33 victory.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, the Islanders led 27-14 at the half.

Poquoson saw its 13-point halftime lead decrease to five entering the fourth.

PHS got revenge for last year's 20-0 loss to the Packers with the victory.

Smithfield (5-4) goes up against York in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Poquoson (5-3) locks horns with Grafton also in a non-conference game.
