Baseball Recap: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Holcomb Longhorns
Cimarron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holcomb Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.
Cimarron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trace Kopper, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Adonis Batman was another, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Cimarron's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Holcomb, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cimarron will venture away from home to challenge Spearville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holcomb, they will head out to face off against Southwestern Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
