Upstate Eight - River recap November 5, 2013

Batavia extended the longest winning streak in Upstate Eight - River this week by beating DeKalb, 48-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Bulldogs.

Batavia took down the Barbs 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Anthony Scaccia ran for 195 yards in the win.

Daniel Santacaterina threw for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 11-22 with 2 interceptions.

Michael Grohe made the biggest impact on defense this week as East lost to Stevenson. He recorded 1 fumble.

Santacaterina put up the best numbers through the air as Geneva lost to St. Patrick. Santacaterina's favorite target this week was Pace Temple, who caught 3 passes for 100 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Temple. The Geneva star has 37 catches for 799 yards.

Dennis Piron's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 399 from 452. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 48-6 victory over DeKalb last week.
