The Queen Anne's County Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Easton Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Queen Anne's County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Wicomico with a sharp 17-2 victory on Friday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Queen Anne's County got a massive performance out of Dulin Clark, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Clark has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chance Hegedus, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Queen Anne's County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wicomico only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Easton never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Cambridge-South Dorchester 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Dustin Blue made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Blue was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Cassell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kayden Webb was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Easton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Queen Anne's County, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Queen Anne's County might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from Easton in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
