Soccer Recap: Port St. Joe Takes a Loss

Port St. Joe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the St. John Paul II Panthers. The Tiger Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Port St. Joe's goal came courtesy of Brandon Sandoval, who's now up to two this season.

Port St. Joe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. John Paul II, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2-1.

Port St. Joe will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rocky Bayou Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for St. John Paul II, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m.
