Basketball Recap: Hylton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Potomac Senior, Hylton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They took down the Osbourn Eagles 51-35. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hylton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Sylla, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. Amari Butler was another key player, putting up 13 points along with six assists and three steals.

Hylton was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hylton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Osbourn, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hylton and Brooke Point will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Osbourn will take on Osbourn Park in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
