Basketball Game Preview: Pana Panthers vs. Carlinville Cavaliers

The Pana Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Carlinville Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pana will be strutting in after a victory while Carlinville will be coming in after a loss.

If Pana beats Carlinville with 46 points on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Pana blew past Central A & M 46-26 on Saturday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Panthers just coasted through the last quarter.

Joey Laker went supernova for Pana, putting up 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Hackler, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Carlinville unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Triad 50-46.

The win made it two in a row for Pana and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Carlinville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Pana ended up a good deal behind Carlinville in their previous meeting back in January, losing 48-29. Can Pana avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
