Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Vance Charter couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The matchup between the Vance Charter Knights and the Wake Prep Academy Guardians didn't end well, with the Vance Charter Knights falling 72-57. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Wake Prep Academy's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jermiah Hargrove, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Those 18 points gave Hargrove a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Bracey, who went 5-for-11 en route to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Vance Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Wake Prep Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-4.
