Recap: San Juan Broncos vs. Rowland Hall Winged Lions
The San Juan Broncos waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 68-63 win over Rowland Hall. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading San Juan to victory were Jake Ivins and Anthony Done. Ivins scored 20 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Done scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Done is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaiten Knight, who scored six points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Rowland Hall still got an impressive performance from Luc Dowdle, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Dowdle continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Brady, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
San Juan's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Rowland Hall, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
San Juan's road trip will continue as they head out to face American Heritage at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. One thing working in American Heritage's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Rowland Hall, they will head out on the road to face off against Enterprise at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
