Basketball Game Preview: Pawhuska Huskies vs. Luther Lions

The Pawhuska Huskies will take on the Luther Lions in a tournament on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Pawhuska earned a 44-37 win over Barnsdall.

Pawhuska's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lane Kyler, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dax Godsey, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Luther didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Casady on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Cyclones are ranked 300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pawhuska's record is now 3-6. As for Luther, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
