Resurrection Christian came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Basalt Longhorns 7-1 on Friday. Considering the Cougars have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Vincent Fuller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Basalt, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Resurrection Christian will square off against Forge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fury have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Basalt, they will head out on the road to challenge Eaton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Reds will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight.
