Football Recap: Franklin County Tech Skates Past Palmer with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin County Tech). They blew past the Palmer Panthers 49-0 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin County Tech had a senior duo take command as Maxon Brunette rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry and Nathan Sabolevski rushed for 69 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. With that strong performance, Brunette is now averaging an impressive 107.3 rushing yards per game.

Franklin County Tech's run defense was locked in: Palmer could only muster -0.7 yards per carry. While three picked up at least one total tackle, Brady Gancarz stood above the rest. He rushed for 73 yards on only five carries. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Franklin County Tech is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.5 points on average over those games. As for Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
