Basketball Recap: GREEN Upstate Takes a Loss

GREEN Upstate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dixie Hornets. The match marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

GREEN Upstate's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Dixie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GREEN Upstate will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun Falls Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully GREEN Upstate likes a good challenge. As for Dixie, they will face off against Abbeville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
