Football Game Preview: Mize Bulldogs vs. Wesson Cobras + Official Tickets

The Mize Bulldogs will take on the Wesson Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Mize is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Lake, posting a 49-16 win. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Wesson strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to Perry Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-14 victory. Considering the Cobras have won seven matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mize better keep an eye on Damarion Smith. He was instrumental in Wesson's win, picking up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Smith showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 51 yards.

Wesson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Mize's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Wesson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Mize came up short against Wesson when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 20-7. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
