Soccer Recap: Standing Bear Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Standing Bear was handed a five-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Conestoga Cougars 1-0. Standing Bear's winning goal came courtesy of Miles Hamilton.

Standing Bear's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Conestoga, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Standing Bear is set to challenge their familiar foe Norris at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The contest will give Standing Bear their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Conestoga will face off against rival Nebraska City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
