Softball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Harford Tech Cobras, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Wednesday.

Oliva Nerad made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harford Tech, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Edgewood is set to take on their familiar foe Bel Air at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Harford Tech will face off against rival North East at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
