Softball Preview: Sidney Team vs. Horseheads Blue Raiders

After five games on the road, Sidney is heading back home. They will take on the Horseheads Blue Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Sidney beat Delaware Academy 5-1.

Meanwhile, Horseheads won against North Stafford on Monday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Horseheads walked away with a 6-1 win over Osbourn Park. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Horseheads.

Megan Wolf was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Wolf has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Wolf was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
