Basketball Recap: Meigs County Takes a Loss

Meigs County suffered their biggest defeat since January 28th on Wednesday. They took a blow against the McMinn Central Chargers, falling 70-28. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Tigers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meigs County's loss dropped their record down to 20-11. As for McMinn Central, the win was the 28th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-1.

Looking ahead, Meigs County will venture away from home to face off against Gatlinburg-Pittman on Saturday. One thing working in Gatlinburg-Pittman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for McMinn Central, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Alcoa. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (McMinn Central has won nine straight at home, while Alcoa won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
