Baseball Recap: Cotter's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sevier County, Cotter was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Alpena Leopards a 10-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Devin Milton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Cole Tilton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

With the victory, Cotter broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Alpena, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Cotter will head out to take on Gainesville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alpena, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountainburg at 4:00 p.m. on the 11th.
