Baseball Recap: Toll Gate Comes Up Short

Toll Gate lost against East Greenwich back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans fell just short of the Avengers by a score of 6-5. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brayden Randall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Connor Salzillo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Toll Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for East Greenwich, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Toll Gate will challenge Narragansett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Greenwich, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 loss against Central on the 18th.
