Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Kearney). They blew past the Finney Falcons 21-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Kings have won four matchups by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Allie Decker and Claire Spears were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Decker pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Spears pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Decker got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Spears went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Decker has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Bishop Kearney got a massive performance out of Morgan Walton, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Walton's first of the season. Lia Nevo was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bishop Kearney hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Bishop Kearney's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Finney, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Bishop Kearney will square off against Northstar Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Finney, they will welcome Lima Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
