Herrin's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Frankfort Redbirds. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redbirds, too.

The team relied heavily on Jaxton Faulkenberry, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Hall, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Herrin's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Frankfort, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herrin will face off against Trico at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Frankfort, they will challenge Mt. Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Redbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
