Recap: Turlock Bulldogs vs. Pitman Pride

The Turlock Bulldogs struggled with assists on Friday (the Pitman Pride had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Turlock lost to Pitman on the road by a decisive 62-48 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Turlock in their matchups with Pitman: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Turlock had strong showings from Jeremiah Evans, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Andrew Johnson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Evans has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Izaak Saenz, who scored six points.

Pitman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Martin, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times he's played. Justin Anderson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Turlock has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Pitman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Turlock will be playing at home against Downey at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Turlock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Pitman, they will be playing at home against Enochs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Averaging 56 points so far this season, Pitman's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Enochs better be ready for a challenge.
