Baseball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games

Langtree Charter Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Community School of Davidson Spartans, falling 11-3. The Lions have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Langtree Charter Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Gelpke, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Gelpke is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. William Tucker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Langtree Charter Academy fell to 8-1. As for Community School of Davidson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Langtree Charter Academy has already played their next game, a 17-2 victory against Jackson Day on the 19th. As for Community School of Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Langtree Charter Academy on the 21st.
