Volleyball Recap: Ali Weatherson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shadyside over Shenandoah + How To Watch

Shadyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Shenandoah Zeps, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Zeps from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Shadyside was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Shenandoah's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-21.

Shadyside's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ali Weatherson, who had 16 assists and five digs. Weatherson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Mercer, who had 13 digs.

Shadyside's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Shenandoah, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Shadyside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Buckeye Local on the 6th. As for Shenandoah, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Caldwell on the 6th.
