Volleyball Recap: Vancleave Extends Home Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Vancleave, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vancleave was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-8.

Despite the defeat, St. Martin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carilys Torres had 15 digs and one assist. Torres has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Vancleave pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for St. Martin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 21 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-25 record this season.

Vancleave will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Pike at 6:00 p.m. St. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
