Volleyball Recap: Byron Nelson's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 66

Byron Nelson strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Southlake Carroll Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Byron Nelson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19.

Leading Byron Nelson to victory were Savannah Sterna and Sophee Peterson. Sterna had 15 digs and eight assists, while Peterson hit 57.1% for eight kills and 19 digs and two aces. Peterson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 71 times she's played. Kherynton Chinnis also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Byron Nelson's win bumped their record up to 30-0. As for Southlake Carroll, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-5.

Coincidentally, Byron Nelson and Southlake Carroll will both be playing Trinity the next time they take the court. The Dragons will head out to face the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcat will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
