Basketball Recap: El Capitan Vaqueros vs. Point Loma Pointers
El Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Point Loma Pointers an easy 65-41 win. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Vaqueros struggled afterwards.

Several Vaqueros players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trevin Curo, who posted eight points and 15 rebounds. Curo has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Point Loma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Stewart, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Na'Sean Hardy, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to six boards and four steals.
El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Point Loma, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
El Capitan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-45 loss against Canyon Hills on the 19th. As for Point Loma, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-50 win against Clairemont on the 20th.
