The Perquimans Pirates had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Camden County 53-33. That's another feather in the cap for Perquimans, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Camden County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tessa Dodson. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dodson has scored all season. Aaliyah Anderson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Perquimans' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Camden County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perquimans will be home for the holidays to greet Ocracoke at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Camden County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cape Hatteras at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. Cape Hatteras is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
