Basketball Recap: Moniteau Comes Up Short

Moniteau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Clarion Area Bobcats and fell 68-38. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 198th).

Clarion Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Frederick, who posted 19 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Smail, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Moniteau's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Clarion Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Moniteau nor Clarion Area have any future games scheduled.
