Basketball Recap: Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Ethan Bowen and Jayden Stamm

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against Juniata Valley on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 77-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Juniata Valley Hornets. The WolfPack just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy had strong showings from Jayden Stamm, who posted 29 points along with five boards and three steals, and Ethan Bowen, who scored 24 points. Stamm has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rocco Gigante, who put up six points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Juniata Valley, they pushed their record up to 10-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
