Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weldon Valley). They blew past the Hi-Plains Patriots, posting a 60-22 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Weldon Valley was led to victory by Zander Braun and August Filter. Braun went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points and four steals, while Filter went 8-for-16 en route to 17 points. Braun has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Doug Fenn was another key player, putting up three points along with five boards and five steals.

Weldon Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hi-Plains only three assists.

Weldon Valley moved to 7-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Hi-Plains, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Looking ahead, Weldon Valley will take on Briggsdale at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hi-Plains, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-40 defeat against Bethune on the 26th.
