Socorro extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Alyssa Almanza. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Parkland Matadors by a score of 2-0 on Friday thanks in part to Almanza, who had 20 digs and two aces. Almanza is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Socorro not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Parkland between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18.

Socorro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayeleen Gutierrez, who had five digs and two aces.

Socorro's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Parkland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Socorro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Eastlake on the 23rd. As for Parkland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fabens on the 22nd.
