After flying high against Salisbury last Thursday, Union Grove Christian came back down to earth. Union Grove Christian fell just short of the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Union Grove Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Hege, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Union Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Forsyth Home Educators, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Union Grove Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they will welcome Oak Level Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oak Level Baptist Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so Forsyth Home Educators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
