Cloverleaf posted their closest win since August 30th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buckeye Bucks, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Colts, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Marlo Downing paced Cloverleaf's offense, picking up 15 kills. Downing got some help from Madi Young and her 30 assists. Lauren Cook controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cloverleaf is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Buckeye, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Cloverleaf and Buckeye could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Colts will take on Norton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (268 vs. 94). Meanwhile, Buckeye (ranked 531st) will meet Bay (ranked 54th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
