Springside Chestnut Hill Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Shipley an 8-0 shutout. The Blue Devils not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26, 2024.

Stokes Tate looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Neumann-Goretti at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th. As for Shipley, they will welcome Ridley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Shipley is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
