Basketball Recap: Crestwood Skates Past Wickliffe with Ease

Crestwood won the last time they faced Wickliffe and things went their way on Friday too. The Crestwood Red Devils blew past the Wickliffe Blue Devils 74-43. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Crestwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Durham led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was James Durham, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Crestwood and bumps their season record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Wickliffe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Coming up, Crestwood will venture away from home to square off against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Streetsboro will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Crestwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wickliffe, they will welcome Cuyahoga Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
