For the second straight game, Athens will face off against Lake Orion. The Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Athens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Athens is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Lake Orion.

Nick Rossi and Cole Cosgrove stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rossi scored two runs and stole a base, while Cosgrove scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Manning, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Lake Orion and bumps their season record up to 3-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Athens, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
