Volleyball Recap: Padua Franciscan's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Padua Franciscan hadn't done well against Lake Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bruins put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on five straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-17.

Sophia Sidon paced Padua Franciscan's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sidon got some help from Ali Bradford and her 26 assists. Amber Zver controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Lake Catholic still got an impressive performance from Ava Starr, who had eight digs and one block. Starr is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.

Padua Franciscan now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lake Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
