Football Recap: Westford Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Lowell

Westford Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 24-14 to the Lowell Red Raiders on Friday. The Grey Ghosts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Westford Academy will square off against Billerica Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lowell, they will challenge New Bedford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
