Basketball Recap: Anderson County Beats Marmaton Valley for Their Second Straight Victory

If Marmaton Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Anderson County, they should've done a better job of containing Noah Porter. The Anderson County Bulldogs blew past the Marmaton Valley Wildcats, posting a 75-36 victory thanks in part to Porter, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Wheat, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 22 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Anderson County and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Marmaton Valley, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

Anderson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-53 defeat against Humboldt on the 24th. Marmaton Valley has also already played their next game, a 67-44 loss against Iola on the 24th.
