Softball Recap: Westminster Wolves vs. Boulder Panthers
Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-12 to the Boulder Panthers. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Magaly Santacruz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, and a run. Another player making a difference was Jaleesa Talmich Martinez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Boulder, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
