Port Washington and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Pirates will head out to take on the Black Hawks at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Port Washington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Port Washington is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Homestead.

Port Washington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savanna Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Grafton lost 14-3 to Hartford on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Black Hawks have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Port Washington's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Grafton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Port Washington has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grafton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Port Washington suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Grafton when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
