Baseball Recap: Kankakee Comes Up Short

Kankakee came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-0 to the East Peoria Raiders.

Kankakee has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season. As for East Peoria, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-8.

Coming up, Kankakee will take on Springfield Southeast in a tournament on Saturday. The last three games the Spartans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for East Peoria, they will challenge Mahomet-Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
